Hester Sunshine is a Queer Jewish fashion designer and apparel innovator from New York City. Hester’s first fifteen years in the industry were spent working with Betsey Johnson, Coach, Kate Spade, Hot Topic, and more. This invaluable experience taught them what was wrong within the fashion world—whose voices and whose bodies were being ignored—and they started developing a game plan to change that. 

Hester placed runner up on Season 17 of Project Runway with their Y2k0k0 collection, and was also a contestant on Project Runway All-Stars. Hester is a fashion rebel. After having been kicked out of fashion school and kicked off of reality television, Hester is ready to give the industry the kick in the ass that it needs. 

Hester currently fronts HESTA, a high-end, ready-to-wear and custom couture fashion line that breaks the traditional rules of pattern making and utilitarian apparel design.

Petra is an illustrator, mixed-media creator, and monster drag artist from Brooklyn. Petra has worked in the accessory, jewelry, and costume design industries, creating mass-market items for high profile, high-volume clients like Walmart, Hot Topic, Spencer Gifts, Meijer, and more. They are passionate about helping people take creative control over their own lives— to realize and to relish in their own personal character designs— and loves to accentuate the personality of the individual through fashion. 

Petra finds the restrictive rules and norms of the traditional fashion industry to be tired, boring, and frankly offensive, and is thrilled to be working with Hester to create a better and more inclusive world.
